What stands out most about Genevieve is her ability to surprise herself. On weight-testing days, she’s consistently loading up the bar with weights she didn’t think were possible just a few months ago—and then crushing them!
It wasn’t always this way. There were days when she wasn’t sure if she could lift a certain weight, and that’s okay. It’s all part of the process. I remember the first time she worked up to a 1 rep max deadlift—she pushed herself so hard, and although she didn’t hit the 300-pound mark that day, she was absolutely shocked by how much weight she was lifting. The fact that she even attempted it was a victory in itself.
A few weeks ago, Genevieve attended our 1 rep max Thruster clinic—and guess what? She hit 100 pounds! For anyone who’s felt nervous about trying something new or intimidated by the thought of lifting heavy, Genevieve's story shows that it’s possible with consistency and dedication.
