Partner Workouts and Why They're Amazing

Here at Pittsburgh FIT we do partner workouts every Saturday! And as you’ve been seeing we throw them into the week sometimes too. If you have never done a partner workout before it can feel intimidating the first time or two but don’t let that stop you, there are a bunch of benefits to doing a partner workout.

Motivation
Working out with someone else can help motivate you. It’s inspiring to see other really fit individuals and you get to experience working out with them. They also can give you that extra push when you need it.

Friends
I have made lifelong friends from doing a workout with others. There’s no quite bonding like getting sweaty and your heart rate up with someone new and both having to go through it together. There is people I would’ve probably never met if a workout didn’t bring us together.

Accountability
It is easier to give up on yourself or not show up when you don’t want to when your solo. If you have someone with you it helps keep you on track and holds you accountable.

Competition
A little friendly competition never hurt anyone. No one wants to feel like they are being dragged behind and can’t keep up with their partner. This can help you push yourself further than if you were doing it alone. Maybe you share a bar to use the same weight and that’s more than you would’ve done or you go faster it can be anything.

Nothing feels better than getting a nice GnG workout in while yelling at Greg to keep up. They are always a good time.
