Meet Coach Morgan

As one of the newest members of the coaching staff at PittsburghFIT- and a new face to the gym altogether- I wanted to give a quick introduction of myself so you can all get to know me a little better!

First and foremost, I have been in the fitness community for about 12 years. I was fortunate enough to grow up with a full home gym, and a father who showed me the ropes at a young age. Although my training now is much different to when I was 10 years old, my love for the gym has only grown and evolved as I have. Now, fitness is a main part of who I am as a person.

My style of training is a little different than what most members may be used to. I am a bodybuilder and I will be competing in the wellness division of the NPC. (Yes I parade around in a sparkly bikini). The main goal of my training style is aesthetics and to sculpt my body to meet specific criteria that the judges are looking for per division. In a sense, bodybuilders see the body as an artform to mold and shape.

I am a dog mom to two beautiful boys. I have a one-year-old Golden Retriever named Moose, and a six-month-old Newfoundland named Gunnar. They are my pride and joys, as well as the bane to my existence. When I am not at work or the gym it is a guarantee I am getting puppy cuddles.

I am a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan – sorry, not sorry. Football is my favorite sport, and you will often catch me repping Bills attire whether we win or lose! Also, I am not a bandwagoner, I grew up about an hour south of Buffalo, and my father was an OG fan through all of their superbowl losses.

Although in bodybuilding you are on a strict nutrition plan, one of my favorite things to do outside of the gym is bake! Especially in the fall and winter months, there is nothing better than the aroma of fresh banana bread or a pumpkin roll filling your home.

I absolutely love being a part of the Pittsburgh FIT family, and look forward to getting to know each and every one of you in the upcoming months! Don’t be shy to stop by and chat anytime about fitness, dogs, or anything you want to know - as long as I have had my morning coffee :)
